  1. You might be right.

Diane did want to add ‘we have been on the case. It is green belt land and it looks like it will not be allowed but we are watching it.’

  2. Well they’ve clearly recognised enough potential to have bought the land in the first place (during the worst period of the recession) and have since conducted a professional, detailed – and expensive – up to date research of the surrounding area and the ongoing area development plans, so they must think that there’s a high possibility of their proposals being accepted by the council (in my opinion).

  3. Well, this is interesting. I note that the document is dated 2009 but I wonder if it has been considered at all by the district council. I will forward this on to the committee for them to discuss at their next meeting, thanks Trevor!

  4. I’m writing about the proposed new housing development on green belt land adjacent to the lake. If this is approved by the council, I’d suggest that it would become an unwelcome sight to all current shareholders.

Is now the time to think about measures that we could take to preserve the natural beauty of the lake and to screen off any potential future ‘eyesores’?

  5. Hi

A bit more information for you:

Sorry, Cofton Lake is privately owned by members of Cofton Lake Conservation Limited. White Swan Piscatorials fishing club are also members and stock and manage the fishing of this lake. In order for you to fish this lake you need to either buy a share in CLCL or join WSP

    Hope this is useful
